Kevin Pietersen, Stuart Broad, Jonathan Trott and Monty Panesar come out unscathed after the bonnet of a taxi they were travelling in flew open and obstructed the driver's view.

Four of England's ODI squad had a brief scare when the bonnet of the taxi they were travelling in flew open and obstructed the driver's view.

The players were travelling at around 100 km/h in Abu Dhabi but fortunately, the driver was able to bring the car to a stop safely.

"I'll tell you what's not pleasant....driving at 100km/h and the bonnet of the car decides to fly open and slam the window," batsman Pietersen tweeted.

England take on Pakistan in the opening one-dayer on Monday, when they will be looking to avenge the test series whitewash from earlier this month.
