England close in on victory

Alastair Cook recorded a half-century during the morning session to leave England requiring 60 runs for victory over the West Indies at Lord's.

The hosts resumed the final day on 10-2 with Cook and Jonathan Trott at the crease.

While Cook showed stubborn form, Kemar Roach claimed the wicket of Trott for 13 runs when the South African-born batsman edged to Darren Sammy in the slips.

That brought Kevin Pietersen to crease, who recorded the same number of runs as Trott before he was caught off the bowling of Shannon Gabriel.

Ian Bell arrived to steady the innings, while Cook went on to claim the 29th Test fifty of his career.

England will start the afternoon session with Cook on 53, alongside Bell on 34.
