Finn looks to follow Bresnan example

Bowler Steven Finn has set his sights on regaining his place in the England Test team.

The 22-year-old has come close to featuring in the ongoing Test series with India, but selectors opted to replace the injured Chris Tremlett with Tim Bresnan at Trent Bridge and Edgbaston.

However, despite the setback, Finn has revealed that Bresnan's presence in the side has spurred him on.

"There are probably no spots up for grabs," Finn told Sky Sports News. "It is a pretty tight-knit unit up there.

"The only thing is, if you get the opportunity to go up there - as Tim Bresnan did in the last two Test matches - you have to go in and make yourself undroppable."

Finn has been named in the 13-man squad to face India at the Oval next week.
