Stuart Broad reveals that England's pre-series planning was a major fact behind their convincing victory over India.

England all-rounder Stuart Broad believes that planning was a major factor behind their whitewash of India.

Andrew Strauss' side rounded off a 4-0 victory at the Oval earlier today with an innings and eight runs victory over the tourists.

The Nottinghamshire man has revealed that all the pre-series planning by skipper Strauss and coach Andy Flower left the squad in good stead for the series.

"We have worked well together, [Graeme] Swann has bowled very well on this wicket and we have all bowled to a plan throughout the series. It has been very rewarding," the 25-year-old told Sky Sports News.

"They have a powerful batting line-up but we set pretty clear plans at the start of the series on how we wanted to bowl - slightly fuller lengths with the odd bouncer and the wickets we have played on have allowed that.

"The plans have worked and we are delighted with the results."

Broad was nominated as England's man of the series by India coach Duncan Fletcher.
