Kevin Pietersen passed fit for final Ashes Test

England batsman Kevin Pietersen has been passed fit for next week's final Ashes Test at The Oval.

The 33-year-old, who underwent a knee scan on Wednesday, was a minor injury doubt for the encounter in London.

However, the England and Wales Cricket Board have confirmed that he is available for selection.

A squad announcement is expected to be announced on Saturday before the start of the Test on August 21.
