Pattinson suffers hamstring strain

Australia quick bowler James Pattinson has suffered a grade one hamstring tear, it has been confirmed.

The 24-year-old picked up the injury while playing for Victoria in Alice Springs last week, but it is thought he may only miss two weeks of action.

The match last week was Pattinson's second since his return to fitness from a back injury, which has plagued him for the past 20 months.

Pattinson is targeting a recall to the Australia Test team for their tour of the West Indies later this year.
