Australia's Chris Rogers "sad" about retirement

Australia's Chris Rogers has confessed that he is "sad" about the end of his Test career.

The 37-year-old played his final match for the Baggy Greens in his side's innings and 46-run victory over England in the fifth Test at The Oval, ending his career after three years in the international game.

Rogers told Sky Sports News: "I'm pretty sad actually. I don't usually get emotional and this is a sad moment but also one to enjoy.

"I have had a fantastic journey and having the honour of finishing at the same time as an Aussie great is amazing and that's a privilege. I'll miss the moments when you win and I am going to cherish tonight."

Rogers made five centuries, including four against England, in his 25-match Test career.
