Richard Schaefer: 'Amir Khan vs. Paulie Malignaggi rematch is possible'

Richard Schaefer thinks that a rematch between Amir Khan and Paulie Malignaggi is a possibility.

Khan beat the New York fighter in 2010, with Malignaggi going on to record five straight wins since. Schaefer, who is the chief executive for Golden Boy Promotions, believes that another clash with the pair could take place.

"A lot has happened since the last time they fought," Schaefer told BoxingScene.

"What has happened with Khan [following defeats to Danny Garcia and Lamont Petersen] and Paulie, they have sort of gone in opposite directions, and now at 147lbs, it might be a different fight."

Khan stopped Carlos Molina on Sunday to end a run of two straight defeats.
