Tony Bellew: 'There's respect between me and Nathan Cleverly'

Tony Bellew feels that there is respect between him and British rival Nathan Cleverly following his victory over the Welshman in their rematch in Liverpool.

Tony Bellew has admitted that he is full of "respect" for Nathan Cleverly following his points victory over the Welshman.

The 31-year-old avenged his defeat of 2011 at the Liverpool Echo Arena, and, despite both fighters throwing jibes at the each other before the match, Bellew admitted that there is now a mutual respect between them.

He told Sky Sports News: "We've said a lot of things, but it's been settled tonight. I've out-worked a great athlete. Let's just say, there's respect there."

Bellew is now 24-2-1 in his professional career, with his last defeat coming in 2013 against Adonis Stevenson.
