Duke Micah advances at Jason Lavigilante's expense

Ghana's Duke Micah has defeated Jason Lavigilante of Mauritius in the Olympic flyweight class.

Micah made a bright start, pumping the jab out and landing with a couple of nice right hands throughout the opening round.

Lavigilante was also having some success and was only trailing by two points heading into the second stanza.

The Ghanaian produced some nice work in the first part of the round but Lavigilante responded well.

The Mauritian came on strong towards the end of the third but could not force his way back into the contest and lost out 18-14.
