Adilbek Niyazymbetov denies Ehsan Rouzbahani

Kazakhstan's Adilbek Niyazymbetov has defeated Iran's Ehsan Rouzbahani in their Olympic light heavyweight quarter-final.

The Kazakh started well and managed to get his nose in front by one point at the end of the first round.

Niyazymbetov was sent crashing to the canvas in the second round from a perfectly-timed thunderous straight left by Rouzbahani.

The Iranian had done well to fight back but the judges added another point to Niyazymbetov's total.

Rouzbahani continued to plod forward and pressure Niyazymbetov but the Kazakh hung on to score a 13-10 victory.
