Thomas Essomba defeats Abdelali Daraa to reach last 16

Cameroon light-flyweight Thomas Essomba has advanced to the next round with a comfortable victory over Morocco's Abdelali Daraa.

Both fighters started cautiously, but it was Essomba who came on strong as the round wore on, puncturing the Moroccan's guard with a nice straight right.

A rapid combination resulted in Daraa being forced to one knee early in the second as the Cameroonian started to dominate the contest.

Essomba saw out the last round to run out a 13-10 winner.
