John Wall calls out LeBron James on dunks

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall calls out LeBron James on his dunk-contest abilities.

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall has called out LeBron James on his dunk-contest abilities, while also stating that he personally prefers to take the safe route when playing in the league.

The Wizards man was speaking ahead of his appearance in the Sprite Slam Dunk contest on Saturday night, as the NBA holds its All-Star showcase weekend.

"I don't think he is a big dunk contest person. Some people are more in-game dunkers," Wall told reporters ahead of his appearance in the contest.

"You look at the McDonald's game [in 2003], I think LeBron just won it off hype. Shannon Brown could've won that one.

"You tell him, 'Here, go take a basketball and you got to dunk in front of all these people.' I'm more of a dunk contest person. In-game, I'm not trying all them because I'm not trying to miss and get taken out of the game or be on Not Top 10."

Wall was in impressive form as he helped to push the Eastern Conference to victory in Saturday's event.
