Singleton to miss six to eight weeks

Chris Singleton has undergone surgery after sustaining a fracture in his left foot.

The Washington Wizards forward picked up the metatarsal injury during a voluntary workout at the team's facility earlier this week.

It is expected that the 23-year-old will miss six to eight weeks while recovering from the operation.

The Wizards are due to face the Brooklyn Nets is their first pre-season game on October 8.
