United States dominate Argentina to qualify for the men's basketball final

A ruthless performance from the United States has seen them run out dominant 109-83 winners against Argentina in the men's basketball semi-finals.

Argentina managed to keep the match close early on and were still alive at half-time, trailing by seven points.

America stepped up their performance in the second half and blew their South American opponents away with an efficient shooting performance.

Carmelo Anthony was in fine from three-point range, scoring 18 points to kill off the tie.

In a team full of superstars Kevin Durant top scored for the US with 19, with LeBron James joining Anthony on 18 points.

Argentina will now play against Russia in the bronze medal match, while the United States face Spain in Sunday's gold medal final.
