Trio waived by San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs have announced that they have waived Marcus Cousin, Myck Kabongo and Corey Maggette.

Center Cousin appeared in two pre-season games for Spurs, while guard Kabongo's only appearance came earlier this month at Denver, where he scored six points during five minutes of court time.

Forward Maggette appeared in two pre-season games, averaging 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes.

Maggette said earlier this week that he would retire from professional basketball if he failed to make the San Antonio roster.
