Gregg Popovich: 'We played our best in game seven'

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich believes that his side played their best basketball in game seven of their first-round playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks.

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has admitted that his side played their best basketball in game seven of their first-round playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Spurs secured an overall 4-3 win to progress to the semi-finals, thanks to a 119-96 victory in their final game at the AT&T Center on Sunday afternoon.

"I'm certainly glad it's over," Popovich told reporters after the game.

"[This series] kept many of us up, night after night, trying to figure them out. We're thrilled, and I think our best game was tonight.

"We played very, very well, and I think it was one our best games of the year."

The Spurs will now face the Portland Trail Blazers in game one of the semis on Tuesday.
