The San Antonio Spurs have announced that Manu Ginobili has suffered a stress fracture in his right leg.

The injury could prevent the shooting guard from taking part in the World Cup of Basketball for Argentina next month.

The 36-year-old wrote on his official Facebook page that his involvement in the tournament will depend on how he feels in around three weeks.

It is not known when the injury was sustained as Ginobili averaged 14.4 points in the Finals to win the fourth NBA title of his career.
