Trail Blazers survive Pacers comeback

The Portland Trail Blazers survived a late fightback from the Indiana Pacers to clinch an 88-82 win in the NBA.

The hosts took the lead before half time as they tried to secure their 12th win in their last 13 outings, but leading scorer Damian Lillard injured his finger, restricting his contribution.

His injury allowed Indiana to get back into the game, with Rodney Stuckey tying the scores early in the fourth quarter.

Nicolas Batum restored Portland's lead soon after though, before Lillard put his difficulties to one side to seal the victory.

The result leaves the Trail Blazers with a 15-4 record, six games clear at the top of the Northwest Division and third in the Western Conference.
