Terry Stotts: 'Damian Lillard proved his worth'

Portland Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts has claimed that Damian Lillard showed that he is ready for the playoffs, as the post-season debutant helped his side record a 122-120 overtime win against the Houston Rockets.

Playing in his first ever post-season for the Blazers, Lillard added 31 points and nine boards to help push his side to victory.

"It was a Damian Lillard performance. Damian rises to the occasion," Stotts told reporters after the game.

"For all those people who were wanting to know if he was ready for the playoffs, I think he answered that question."

Lillard will have his chance to shine again on Wednesday as the sides meet for Game Two at the Toyota Center.
