Steve Nash expects to play against Utah Jazz

Los Angeles Lakers star Steve Nash has revealed that he expects to recover from his injury to play against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.

The veteran point guard suffered nerve irritation in his left leg and tightness in his back during Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bulls.

"It's a little irritated, the nerve, but I'm hoping I can be better and can play," Nash said, ESPN reports.

The 40-year-old is averaging 11.3 points and 5.3 assists in 24.7 minutes over three games since returning from his ongoing back problems.
