Jermaine O'Neal rules out NBA return for now

Veteran big-man Jermaine O'Neal has ruled out returning to the NBA, for now at least.

The 36-year-old has been without a team this season after leaving the Golden State Warriors last year.

"I'm not sure if there will ever be another time or not for me and basketball but what I do know at this moment is the time isn't right for me to play now," he wrote on Instagram.

The Dallas Mavericks were believed to be keen on signing O'Neal, who was a six-time All-Star during his eight year spell with the Indiana Pacers last decade.
