Dirk Nowitzki: "I wasn't moving well"

Dirk Nowitzki has admitted that he struggled during the Dallas Mavericks' win over the Washington Wizards.

The forward, who missed 11 of his 14 shots, rolled his ankle early in the game, restricting him to his lowest points total of the season in the 87-78 win.

The German told reporters: "It was an ugly game. I think we set the NBA back a couple years today.

"It was obvious that I wasn't moving well. I didn't get any elevation on my jumper."

The Mavericks play again tomorrow against the Los Angeles Clippers.
