Dirk Nowitzki has said that the Dallas Mavericks' defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves felt like a "playoff loss".

The Mavericks fought back from seven points down heading into the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime, but Kevin Love secured the win for the visitors.

The forward told reporters: "This is a tough one. This feels like a playoff loss. It really does. I don't even know what to say."

The Mavericks currently hold the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, just two wins clear of the Phoenix Suns.
