Dallas Mavericks re-sign Bernard James for third year

Centre Bernard James will spend his third season at the Dallas Mavericks having agreed to re-sign for the NBA franchise.

The Dallas Mavericks have announced the re-signing of centre Bernard James.

James will now spend his third season with Dallas, who originally gave him his first chance in the NBA having picked him early in the second round of the 2012 Draft.

Across 76 career games, James has totalled an average of 2.1 points and 2.3 rebounds, making 11 starts.

James previously served as an American Air Force staff sergeant before taking up a career in basketball.
