Rose starts running

Derrick Rose has started running as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

The Chicago Bulls point guard tore the meniscus in his right knee in November, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

Coach Tom Thibodeau confirmed that Rose has started running and performing lateral slides, but that he is "nowhere close to practising".

Rose had been averaging 15.9 points per game prior to his injury.
