LaMarcus Aldridge poured in a career-high 56 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a thrilling 154-147 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Spurs opened the game with 14 straight three-pointers but were forced into double overtime and overcame a triple-double – 24 points, 24 rebounds and 13 assists – from Russell Westbrook to secure the win.

Aldridge finished with nine rebounds while Derrick White scored 23 points and Marco Belinelli added 19, including five three-pointers, lifting the Spurs to their seventh home win in a row.

In Denver, Nikola Jokic recorded his 21st career triple-double as the Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 121-100 at Pepsi Center.

Jokic had 18 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and Mason Plumlee finished with a season-high 17 points for the Western Conference leaders, who have now won 11 straight home games.

The Miami Heat, meanwhile, scored a season-high 18 three-pointers in their 115-99 win over the Boston Celtics.

Dwyane Wade top-scored for the Heat with 19 points, while Kyrie Irving had 22 points for the Celtics, who fell shy of 100 points for just the fourth time this season.

In the night's other game, the Detroit Pistons dropped to their fourth loss in a row as seven Sacramento Kings' players reached double figures for a 112-102 win.
