The Boston Celtics have announced that Donte Greene has been waived.
The forward was acquired earlier this year in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, which saw Fab Melo leave the team.
Greene averaged 6.1 points per game during his four-season spell with the Sacramento Kings.
The Celtics play the Toronto Raptors in their first pre-season game next month.
