Detroit Pistons-Atlanta Hawks match abandoned because of weather

Tonight's NBA match between the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks has been postponed because of severe weather conditions in Atlanta.

Temperatures in Georgia have plummeted to sub-zero and the decision was made by the NBA to call tonight's game off.

The Eastern Conference game will be rescheduled for a later date.

It was due to be the third game between the two sides this season, with Atlanta leading the series 2-0 after a pair of victories back in November over the Pistons.
