Pistorius hails "most amazing" Games

South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius has hailed the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics as the "most amazing" yet.

Pistorius, who won gold in the T44 400m final tonight, also said it was "special" to bring the curtain down on the athletics at the Games.

"It was very special to me," Pistorius said. "It was the last event of my season, of the London Games.

"I was very nervous before today's race, I was quite tired, but the crowd just kept me going.

"I'm so proud. This summer's been a dream come true. It's been the most amazing Olympic and Paralympic Games."

Pistorius also competed in the 200m and 100m events.
