Half-Time Report: San Diego Chargers in command in Jacksonville

Chargers in command in Jacksonville

The San Diego Chargers are in control of their NFL clash against the Jacksonville Jaguars as they bid to go 4-3 in their season.

The Chargers' offense dominated from the start against the Jaguars as Philip Rivers had no problems moving the ball against the defense. He moved his side into the red zone with ease before handing off to Danny Woodhead, who opened the score with a two-yard touchdown.

Rivers and his offense continued where they had left off on their next possession as they moved seamlessly into Jaguars territory again. This time he faked the handoff to Woodhead and fired down the right-hand sideline for Eddie Royal, who leapt into the end zone for a 27-yard touchdown.

The Jaguars tried to put a drive together to force their way back into the game but they could only muster as field goal, as the Chargers' defense stood firm inside their own 20 and Josh Scobee knocked a 30-yard effort through the posts.

Mike McCoy's side had the chance to take the lead just seconds before the half when Rivers ran for the end zone on the one-yard line, but he was stopped and time ran out.
