Giants safety Brown 'ruled out for season'

New York Giants defensive back Stevie Brown has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury, according to reports.

Brown left the field during his side's pre-season win over the New York Jets in the first quarter following a collision.

Tests confirmed that Brown had torn his anterior cruciate ligament and as a result will miss the entire 2013 campaign, according to several reports.

The 26-year-old had an impressive season for the Giants last year as he made a league high eight interceptions.
