New York Giants confident Andre Brown will be ready to face Oakland Raiders

New York Giants running back coach Jerald Ingram believes that Andre Brown will be able to play after the team's bye week.

The New York Giants are "very confident" that Andre Brown will be ready to play against the Oakland Raiders after their bye week.

The running back is yet to feature for the NFC East side this season, having fractured his leg during the pre-season.

Running back coach Jerald Ingram told ESPN: "I'm very confident. I think he's practised well in the last few weeks. He's eager to get out there.

"He's a competitor and he's gone through an awful lot and he has a lot of pain in his heart and I think he'll be ready to go."

Brown also missed the end of last season with a broken leg, but managed to rush for 385 yards and score eight touchdowns during 10 games in 2012.
