New York Giants' Victor Cruz optimistic over training camp return

Cruz optimistic over training camp return

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has admitted that he is confident that he will not start training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

The 28-year-old sustained a torn patellar tendon in the 2014 season, which ruled him out for the majority of the campaign.

However, Cruz has made strides in his recovery in the off-season and is now optimistic that he will be at full speed by the end of the month.

"The plan is to be ready for training camp and I feel good," Cruz told SiriusXM NFL Radio. "I don't think PUP is an option for me."

Cruz has recorded 264 receptions for 3,963 yards and 24 touchdowns in his five-year NFL career.
