Minnesota Vikings' Mike Zimmer: 'Teddy Bridgewater should be fit for Sunday'

Zimmer: 'Bridgewater should be fit for Sunday'

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has revealed that Teddy Bridgewater should be fit for his side's match against the Oakland Raiders this week.

The 22-year-old sustained a concussion in his side's victory over the St Louis Rams after taking a late hit from LaMarcus Joyner in the fourth quarter of the contest.

Bridgewater did not return and was replaced by Shaun Hill, who did enough to guide the Vikings to the win. However, Zimmer has disclosed that his starting quarterback has passed the league's protocols and will be fit to return on Sunday.

Zimmer told reporters: "He passed his first test, so he should be good to go, I think."

Bridgewater has thrown for 1,670 yards and six touchdowns to six interceptions this season.
