Clowney ruled out for four to six weeks

Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a knee injury.

The first overall pick in the 2014 Draft sustained a meniscus injury in the second quarter of his NFL debut in his side's win over the Washington Redskins.

Head coach Bill O'Brien has admitted that he is disappointed by the news, but is confident that the 21-year-old can return to action quickly.

"They went in there and tried to fix it. It went well. He's a great kid. A resilient kid. A good teammates since he walked in the door here," O'Brien told reporters.

"He's disappointed, obviously. We've got great doctors here, and he'll be back. Will he be back tomorrow? No. But he'll be back soon."

The Texans face the Oakland Raiders in their week two clash.
