Half-Time Report: Houston Texans hold narrow lead over Jacksonville Jaguars

Texans hold narrow lead over Jaguars

The Houston Texans hold a narrow 10-7 advantage over the Jacksonville Jaguars in their AFC South showdown at EverBank Field.

Neither side were able to threaten the endzone on their first possessions of the game as both offenses were knocked out of rhythm by solid defensive play.

The Texans managed to click into gear on their second drive as Brian Hoyer moved down the field with several short passes before he found Arian Foster, who collected the ball and ran in for the 14-yard touchdown.

Jacksonville levelled the scores in the second quarter when Blake Bortles moved his side into the redzone following a series of accurate throws. The quarterback finished the drive with another pinpoint pass to find Allen Robinson for the two-yard score.

Houston pulled back ahead when Hoyer and Foster engineered a solid drive, which culminated in three points for Bill O'Brien's men as Nick Novak fired his 41-yard field goal through the posts.

The Jaguars had the opportunity to get a score just before the break, but Bortles saw his pass intercepted by Andre Hal on the goalline.
