Half-Time Report: Dallas Cowboys edging Philadelphia Eagles in low-scoring contest

Cowboys edging Eagles in low-scoring contest

Two field goals from Dan Bailey have fired the Dallas Cowboys into a 6-0 lead at the break in their NFC East clash against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Both teams struggled in the early stages of the game to get into rhythm on offense as the Cowboys felt the absence of All-Pro wideout Dez Bryant from their passing game.

Dallas quarterback Tony Romo drove his side downfield at the end of the first quarter and looked to have notched the first score of the game when Gavin Escobar dived for the line, only for him to be ruled down before he got the touchdown.

Bailey put the 20-yard field goal through the posts to hand the visitors the lead, and their defense ensured that they held the advantage as they tormented former teammate DeMarco Murray by repeatedly stuffing him for a loss in the Eagles' ground game.

The kicker added another field goal from close range before the break to extend his side's lead to six points.
