Novak Djokovic cools fears over shoulder injury

Novak Djokovic insists that the shoulder injury which required attention in his semi-final win over Richard Gasquet is 'nothing that worries him'.

Novak Djokovic has declared that he will be fully fit for this weekend's Wimbledon final, despite seemingly struggling with a shoulder injury.

The world number one remains on track to retain his Wimbledon crown, having overcome Richard Gasquet in straight sets this afternoon.

Djokovic received some treatment to his shoulder during the third set at SW19, but after booking his place in the final he was quick to cool any injury fears.

"It's nothing that worries me," he told BBC Sport. "It will be fine for the next match."

On his overall showing, the 28-year-old added: "It was a good performance, considering the occasion. It's always tough.

"Richard had a great tournament and deserved to be in the semis. The first set could have gone his way but luckily it went to me."

Andy Murray and Roger Federer meet in the other final-four affair to decide who will face Djokovic in Sunday's final.
