Natalie du Toit disappointed with final race

South African swimmer Natalie du Toit admits that she is disappointed with her final performance in the women's S9 100m.

South African S9 100m swimmer Natalie du Toit has admitted that she is disappointed with a silver medal in the final performance of her career.

Du Toit has competed in Olympic and Commonwealth championships but could not add to her tally 13 of Paralympic golds in her final race.

"It's all over. I went out there and tried my best. I now walk away from the sport. To get second is a little disappointing," said Du Toit.

"Two months ago I wasn't going to come [to the Paralympics]. It's been a tough couple of months. I look back and realise I gave everything in the pool and gave everything as a person, it's time to move on. I've no idea what's next."

Du Toit finished second to Ellie Cole of Australia.
