England captain Chris Robshaw: England "under no illusions" ahead of Fiji clash

England captain Chris Robshaw insists that England are "under no illusions" as to how big an occasion the country's Rugby World Cup opener against Fiji will be.

England captain Chris Robshaw has insisted that England are under no illusions as to the magnitude of their Rugby World Cup opener against Fiji.

The flanker leads out the same starting side at Twickenham on September 18 that beat Ireland 21-13 in their final warm-up game.

"We are under no illusions as to exactly how big it is going to be," the 29-year-old told BBC Sport.

"We've spoken a little bit about what to expect, and what's different. The warm-up is going to be slightly different because you can't go on the actual pitch.

"As players it's about going out there and playing our game, and trying not to get too caught up in the emotion. Of course it's going to be a fantastic show for everyone else in the world, but as players we've got to focus on doing a job, and putting in our best performance."

England face further ties against Wales, Australia and Uruguay in Pool A following Friday's fixture with Fiji.
