Four Super League matches postponed due to extreme weather

Four of this evening's rugby Super League matches are postponed due to the extreme weather.

Four of this evening's Super League matches have been postponed due to the extreme weather conditions in the UK.

Hull KR versus Castleford Tigers, Leeds Rhinos against Catalans Dragons, Wakefield's meeting with Huddersfield Giants and Salford's trip to St Helens have been called off because of the freezing conditions.

Hull FC's clash with Warrington Wolves is still going ahead, while Wigan Warriors' home meeting with Widnes Vikings has been given the all-clear to commence as planned following a series of pitch inspections.

Saints have moved their clash with Salford to 4pm on Sunday, while the other games will take place later in the season, reports BBC Sport.

Sports across the UK have fallen victim to the freezing temperatures and snowfall, with the English Football League among the other governing bodies announcing a number postponements.
