Wolverhampton Wanderers make it three Premier League wins in a row with a 3-0 success over Everton in Saturday's contest at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers made it three Premier League wins in a row with a 3-0 success over Everton in Saturday's contest at Molineux.

Max Kilman, Matheus Cunha and Craig Dawson netted the goals for Gary O'Neil's side, who have moved onto 28 points from their 20 league games this season, but they remain 11th in the table.

Everton, meanwhile, sit in 17th position in the division, one point clear of 18th-placed Luton Town, who suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Chelsea in Saturday's early start.

The visitors had a half-chance inside the first minute through Amadou Onana, but the midfielder's chipped effort never threatened to find the back of the net.

Wolves had a huge opportunity in the seventh minute, with the home side on a three-on-one break, but Hwang Hee-chan failed to make the most of a pass from Cunha, with the attacker taking too long, which allowed the visitors to get players back.

The hosts were dangerous, with Cunha just missing the post with a long-range effort in the 14th minute, before Dwight McNeil missed the target down the other end after smart work from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The breakthrough came for Wolves in the 25th minute, with Kilman poking the ball into the back of the net from close range after Everton failed to deal with a dangerous cross into the box.

Jordan Pickford had made a brilliant save in the melee, but Kilman managed to turn it home.

Calvert-Lewin rolled a shot along the goal-line in the 28th minute, but there was not too much of note from that point forward in the first half, with Wolves defending impressively and Everton failing to register a shot on target in the opening 45 minutes of action.

Wolves had a chance to score a second early in the second period when Nelson Semedo delivered a brilliant cross to the far post, but Hwang was just unable to make a connection.

Everton had an opportunity of their own in the period that followed, but James Tarkowski's strike was blocked by Dawson, with Wolves continuing to defend their lines.

The home side then doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute through Cunha, who turned a low cross from Hwang into the back of the net from close range.

Wolves continued to find gaps in the Everton defence, and the match was taken away from the Toffees in the 61st minute when Dawson converted a cross from Cunha.

There was a lengthy check for a possible offside, but it was eventually confirmed that the goal would stand.

McNeil hit the crossbar in the period that followed, with Everton looking to respond, before Pickford made a smart save to keep out a strike from Joao Gomes.

Wolves again had the ball in the back of the net through Hwang shortly after, but the attacker was clearly offside, with the linesman's decision being confirmed by VAR.

Pedro Neto also had one disallowed late on for offside, with the home side potentially winning by a greater margin against a disappointing Everton side.
