West Ham United 'reject £14m Swansea City bid for Andre Ayew'

West Ham United reportedly reject a £14m offer from Swansea City to re-sign striker Andre Ayew.

West Ham United have reportedly rejected a £14m offer from Swansea City for striker Andre Ayew.

New Swans boss Carlos Carvalhal is understood to have made bolstering his attacking options one of his main priorities for the remainder of the transfer window, with the Premier League strugglers linked with the likes of Kevin Gameiro and Nicolas Gaitan.

Sky Sports News reports that they have now made an official approach to re-sign Ayew too, after he left the club to join West Ham in August 2016.

However, the Hammers have rejected the offer - thought to be worth up to £14m with add-ons - as they are unwilling to sell the 28-year-old for any less than the £20m they paid Swansea for his services - at the time a club-record deal for West Ham.

Ayew has struggled to nail down a regular starting role for West Ham so far this season, being including the starting lineup on just nine occasions in the Premier League.

The Ghana international spent just one year at Swansea, scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions.
