Ben Foster wants to stay at West Bromwich Albion next season regardless of whether his parent club, Birmingham City, are promoted.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper has made a big impression at the Hawthorns since joining on a season-long loan from the Blues, who were not prepared to pay his £27,000-a-week wages while in the Championship.
Chris Hughton's men are currently fourth in the Championship table and look likely to compete in the play-offs at the end of the season.
England international Foster had recently suggested that he was keen for his future to be decided swiftly and he has now told club officials that he wants to sign for the Baggies permanently at the end of the season, according to The Mirror.
Foster has made 33 starts for West Brom this season.
