Early goal gives Udinese win

An early goal from Roberto Pereyra gives Udinese a 1-0 win over Torino in Serie A this afternoon.

Udinese take all three points against Torino with a 1-0 win in Serie A this afternoon.

Antonio Di Natale almost gave Udinese the lead after just two minutes, but his finish was just lacking.

The home side did pull ahead on seven minutes through Roberto Pereyra, who finished well.

Di Natale came close again on 28 minutes, but his strike was closed down well by a determined Torino back line.

Alessio Cerci then threatened for the away side with three efforts in two minutes, but the forward could not beat the goalkeeper.

Dusan Basta almost doubled Udinese's lead just before half time, but Torino's defence blocked well once more.

Cerci almost equalised for Torino on 59 minutes, but his effort hit the bar and bounced clear.
