Craig Bellamy is delighted with how Team GB have prepared for the London Olympics.

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy has revealed his delight at Team GB's preparation for the Olympics.

Team GB play a friendly against Brazil on Friday in Middlesbrough before kicking off the tournament against Senegal on July 26.

As one of the over-age players, Bellamy is very happy with how his side's preparations for the London Games have gone.

"It has been immense," said the 33-year-old. "The week away could not have gone any better, all the boys have really got on.

"I never thought this was going to happen, for me to be involved in anything like this.

"I just want to embrace this and enjoy every moment. This is something I am going to cherish for the rest of my life."

Bellamy is one of three over-age players in the squad along with Ryan Giggs and Micah Richards.
