Xherdan Shaqiri: 'Premier League is the best in the world'

Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri believes that the Premier League is the best division in world football following experience in Germany and Italy.

Stoke City's summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri has claimed that the Premier League is the best division in world football.

The Switzerland international, who signed for the Potters for a £12m fee in July, has plied his trade in Germany for Bayern Munich and Italy with Inter Milan.

After experiencing different leagues, Shaqiri is confident that the top flight in England is better than them all.

"In England I can sense a real emphasis on attacking play," Shaqiri told FIFA.com. "The football here is tough and spectacular, and I'm enjoying it. Although I've only played a few matches in the Premier League so far, I feel I've arrived in the best league in the world."

Stoke are currently 17th in the league table, two points above the relegation zone after seven games.
