Brad McKay to join St Johnstone from Hearts in summer

St Johnstone agree to sign Hearts defender Brad McKay on a two-year contract in the summer.

St Johnstone have agreed to sign defender Brad McKay from Hearts at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old will move to Perth on a two-year deal when his Tynecastle contract expires in the summer.

Saints manager Tommy Wright told The Courier: "I'm really pleased to get a good young defender into the club and one who has good experience already. Brad is a player we have been keeping tabs on and I'm sure he will be a great addition to the squad."

McKay added: "I'm delighted to sort out my future. It's a good move for me - I've heard nothing but positive things about the club and Tommy Wright."

McKay made 28 appearances as Hearts were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last term, but has only made four second-tier starts under Gary Locke this campaign.
