St Johnstone sign Danny Swanson on loan from Coventry City

St Johnstone beat the transfer deadline to sign Danny Swanson on loan from Coventry City for the rest of the season.

Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone have completed the loan signing of Danny Swanson from Coventry City for the remainder of the season.

The 28-year-old joined Coventry in the summer on a permanent two-year deal from Peterborough United, having previously played for Dundee United.

"He's a talented player who I think will add quality to the squad at a crucial time of the season," St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright told the club's official website.

"We enquired about him previously but he was unavailable but he became available late this afternoon and I am delighted to have secured him."

Swanson made 13 appearances for Coventry this season.
